Over-Analysing The (Final) Avengers: Age Of Ultron Posters!

Breaking it down like it’s HOT in my previous post about the character posters for Marvel’s upcoming hype-fuelled film Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the final set has been released and so I’ll stare at them longingly while sharing my thoughts on them!

Avengers_AOU_ScarlettWitch_NZScarlet Witch, also known as Wanda Maximoff makes her full-screen appearance in Age Of Ultron. Briefly seen in the stinger ending for Captain America: The Winter Soldier as a captive of HYDRA, we’re not sure what version of the character we’ll be dealing with.

While she looks to have some form of energy projection, one could ask WHAT the energy does. In the comics, it does some pretty overpowered stuff, so they may hae tone it down in the film-medium.

Much like her costume.

The costume we’ve seen her in is apparently “civilian”, and hasn’t yet been touched by King Midas himself, Tony Stark.

So what would happen should she and her brother join the Avengers then…

Quicksilver, or Pietro Maximoff. Joining his twin, he too is touting this years fashionable “civilian” line. A speedster, his suit looks like something Usain Bolt might run in, but what would happen should Stark get the chance to make him something? Will he get the lightning bolt insignia across his chest? Will he wear majestic boots?

Only time will answer these pressing questions…

Avengers_AOU_Vison_NZTHE VISION. Thought to be kept under wraps, it looks like they were saving his reveal for as close to the movie as possible! Even if he was actually shown randomly here and there, but any way.

THE VISION!

An android, who much like Scarlet Witch can be very overpowered, he looks to be as close to his comics counter-part as possible. With his green coat, purple face and golden cape, it’s fantastic that they’ve actually created this crazy character for the big screen. I mean…he’s pretty ridiculous but in the best way possible!

You know, after looking at these characters being introduced, you can really notice Marvel are starting to expand into the “other-tier” ranks of their roster.

With the likes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage coming to television, Ant Man ending Phase 2 in cinemas, which then leads into Phase 3 where the likes of Doctor Strange, Black Panther and Captain Marvel will be joining the roster, they’re making a huge push to go past the “branded” names.

And you know what?

That’s pretty damn exciting…

Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens in New Zealand on April 23rd
