The Hand
In the comics, The Hand are a secret, powerful organization from Japan that are made up of crime lords and ninjas. With the Kingpin Wilson Fisk put behind bars in Season One, The Hand have come to fill the void left by Fisk and take over New York in Season Two.

The Hand were linked in Season One by one of their ‘agents’ Nobu, and referred to by Daredevil’s former mentor Stick, who is part of another order of ninja that are ancient enemies of The Hand, called ‘The Chaste’.

It’ll be interesting to see how Daredevil Season Two will be able to balance so many intricate plot ties, such as Matt’s relationship with his friends, law career, alter ego Daredevil, The Punisher, Elektra and The Hand.
My guess is that Elektra is part of Stick’s order of ninja (or once was and is now solo as a ronin looking to prove herself) and is seeking to take down The Hand, which would very much be in line with her comic book history.
I am one of the biggest Elektra fan boys on the planet and have been waiting all my life to see this level of performance for her character, but I hope that the writers aren’t trying to do too much with this season.
It’s almost as if The Punisher could have been saved for Season 3, but we shall see how Daredevil deals with his hands so full.
